1. Who I am
Emily Nightingale Marketing provides marketing services from Willington, Derbyshire. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Emily Nightingale Marketing is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
Privacy enquiries can be sent to hello@emilynightingale.co.uk.
2. Information I may collect
I may collect information that you choose to provide, including:
- your name, business name and job role;
- your email address, telephone number and contact preferences;
- website and social media links;
- information in an enquiry, brief, meeting note or project communication;
- billing, payment and contract records when you become a client; and
- account access or content that you provide for agreed marketing work.
The enquiry form on this website prepares an email in your own email application. It does not save your answers to a website database.
3. How I use your information
I use personal information to:
- reply to enquiries and discuss potential work;
- prepare proposals, agreements and invoices;
- deliver, manage and improve agreed services;
- keep necessary business, tax and financial records;
- protect accounts, content and business systems; and
- meet legal or regulatory obligations.
4. Lawful bases
Depending on the circumstances, I process information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform a contract, to meet a legal obligation, or for legitimate business interests such as responding to enquiries and running the business securely. Where consent is the appropriate basis, you may withdraw it at any time.
5. Sharing information
I do not sell personal information. I may use trusted service providers for email, website hosting, file storage, invoicing, accounting or project delivery. They receive only the information needed to provide their service and are expected to handle it securely. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect legal rights.
If information is processed outside the UK, I will use an appropriate safeguard where required by data protection law.
6. Cookies and website data
This website does not intentionally use non-essential advertising or analytics cookies at present. The hosting platform may process limited technical information or use strictly necessary technologies to deliver and secure the website. If analytics, embedded services or marketing cookies are added later, this policy and any cookie choices will be updated.
7. How long information is kept
I keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, including legal, accounting and tax requirements. Enquiries that do not become projects will be reviewed and deleted when they are no longer useful. Client records may need to be retained for longer where the law requires it.
8. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal information. No online service or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information unless it is necessary and an appropriate method has been agreed.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal information;
- ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- ask for information to be deleted or its use restricted;
- object to certain processing;
- receive information in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
To exercise a right, email the address above. I may need to verify your identity. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
10. Other websites
This website may link to other websites or social platforms. Their privacy practices are controlled by their respective owners, so please read their policies before sharing personal information.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when services, technology or legal requirements change. The latest version and update date will be shown on this page.
